| Who are we at The Rocking Porch? For 27 years we have conducted business in the Furniture, Antiques, Art and Collectibles Marketplace. One side of the family ran the oldest continuously running furniture company in the country, and the other side had over 40 years in fine antiques, art, jewelry, and collectibles. It was a natural path for us to follow. After many years in fixed, brick and mortar store fronts, we now operate solely online. We bring our experience, knowledge and passion for the business to you in the form of therockingporch.com. A humble, clean, concise venue for Dealers, Buyers and Sellers to share the exciting adventure as we offer fine merchandise through our consignment and dealer auctions. We never tire in our search of estates, yard sales, barns, basements and attics in search of that special painting, that stunning gift, that perfect piece of furniture from some of the most historic areas of the country. Our dealers and consigners come from Baltimore, Annapolis and D.C. through historic Richmond and its surrounding fertile farm lands, down through Colonial Williamsburg to the mystic seaports of Norfolk. We reach across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and search the early settlements and farms of the Eastern Shore and Islands, then back through Maryland and Southern Delaware. This circle encompasses what is arguably the richest antiques region in the U.S. It is steeped in the history of our country's greatest and most tragic moments. From the exultation of discovery and accomplishment to the devastation of war, slavery and despair.
